Hi! We're Cheyenne and Jonathon, the husband-and-wife team behind Batty Batz Co.
Batty Batz began with a simple idea, a shared dream, and a love for creating something that felt different from anything else on the market.
If you've spent any time around me, you've probably heard me call bats "Sky Kittens."
I've loved bats for as long as I can remember. They're intelligent, misunderstood, incredibly important to our ecosystems, and somehow manage to be both spooky and unbelievably adorable at the same time. To me, they've never been scary—they've always been tiny, fuzzy friends with wings.
That love inspired a question I couldn't stop asking myself:
Why are there so few plush toys for people like us?
Walk through almost any toy aisle and you'll find teddy bears, puppies, unicorns, and pastel animals everywhere. They're wonderful—but what about those of us who love moonlit forests, fantasy worlds, Halloween all year long, gothic aesthetics, cozy horror, alternative fashion, rainy days, and a little bit of beautiful chaos?
We wanted plush companions that felt like home.
Not scary.
Not childish.
Not generic.
Just wonderfully weird.
That's how Batty Batz was born.
What started as one sketch at our kitchen table quickly became long nights filled with brainstorming, designing characters, imagining stories, and dreaming about the world these little bats would call home.
While I create the characters, write their stories, and continue expanding the world of Echo Valley, my husband works beside me helping turn those ideas into reality. Every collection, every decision, every milestone is something we build together.
Today, Batty Batz isn't just my dream.
It's our family's dream.

🦇 Why Bats?
People often ask me one question:
"Why bats?"
My answer is always the same.
Because bats deserve more love.
For years, bats have been misunderstood. They're often portrayed as scary, dangerous, or something to fear.
But the truth couldn't be more different.
Bats are intelligent, social, curious creatures that spend their days snuggled together like tiny fuzzy families. They groom each other, care for their babies, and many species even form lifelong friendships.
That's why I lovingly call them "Sky Kittens."
They're tiny, fluffy, mischievous little mammals that just happen to have wings.
Beyond being adorable, bats are also some of nature's greatest heroes.
Every night they pollinate flowers, spread seeds that help forests grow, and eat thousands of insects that would otherwise damage crops and ecosystems. Without bats, our world would look very different.
Yet despite everything they do for our planet, they rarely get the love they deserve.
I wanted to change that.
Batty Batz was created to celebrate these incredible little creatures while giving fellow alternative souls something they've been missing for far too long.
Not everyone wants another teddy bear.
Some of us feel more at home beneath moonlight than sunshine.
Some of us decorate for Halloween all year.
Some of us wear black because it makes us happy.
Some of us find beauty in the strange, the mysterious, and the wonderfully misunderstood.
Batty Batz is for all of us.
Every plush in this collection is a reminder that being different isn't something to hide.
Sometimes the things the world misunderstands are the most beautiful of all.
